Your skin tone can become uneven and splotchy for a number of reasons, most of which are either hormonal or a physical reaction to ultraviolet (UV) light. Sometimes uneven skin tone is caused by acne, leaving red or discolored blemishes. At DermaHealth, we offer many options to address your concerns, including simple skincare products, chemical peels, and a multitude of laser treatments. Often, the best approach is multifaceted. We offer a wide variety of services that can be used in combination to provide you with optimal results and help you reach your skin goals. Uneven Skin Tone Treatment Options

Lasers

Sublative Rejuvenation™

Sublative Rejuvenation™ works from the inside out, stimulating collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and textural irregularities. This treatment is safe for all skin types and is a comfortable procedure with minimal to no social downtime. It is available for skin types I–VI.

Lumecca

Lumecca laser treatments reduce freckles, age spots, sun damage, enlarged pores, irregular pigmentation, and wrinkles around the eyes, lips, and forehead. Spots turn dark brown and flake off within one to two weeks. The arms, chest, neck, and legs respond very well to these lasers when sun damage or skin tone is a concern. The procedure is comfortable with no downtime. It is available for skin types I–IV, and we recommend three to five treatments, scheduled four weeks apart.

CO2RE™

CO2RE™ is ideal for sun-damaged skin, age spots, fine lines, discoloration, rough texture, and other imperfections. Any discomfort associated with a CO2RE treatment can be managed with a numbing cream. Depending on the depth of treatment, six to ten days of social downtime can be expected. It is available for skin types I–IV, and results are usually achieved with one treatment.

GentleMax Pro

GentleMax Pro is one of the most versatile lasers available. It can remove age spots/sunspots, both facial and leg veins, and unwanted hair. This laser features a dynamic cooling device (DCD) to bring the client as much comfort as possible. It is available for skin types I–V.

Chemical Peels

From mild to medium depth, chemical peels are applied to the skin to exfoliate dead skin and pores, giving the skin a healthy, fresh glow. Peels are productive in reducing the appearance of sun damage and age spots, as well as evening skin tone and texture. For best results, a series of peels is recommended. This treatment is available for all skin types, and our skincare experts will help you select the appropriate peel for your skin.

Kojic acid can penetrate the layers of your skin and stop the production of melanin, making it an effective spot-fading treatment for uneven skin tone. If you suffer from hyperpigmentation due to sun damage, aging, or post-breakout effects, you might benefit from a kojic acid serum. Natural, hydroquinone-free, it reduces the appearance of skin discoloration and evens skin tone without the use of harsh chemicals.  Targets age spots, freckles, and other types of hyper-pigmentation.
